In The Herald-Voice of Goa, la anunturile de mica publicitate, exista categoria Thanks Giving. Unul dintre anunturi suna in felul urmator:

“Thanks to St. Jude, St. Anthony… (lista sfintilor e destul de lunga) … and all the Angels and Saints for the favours granted. Sorry for the delay.

Superba sinceritatea naiva a anuntului e reprezentativa pentru sentimentul religios al crestinilor din zona, incremeniti in catolicismul portughez de secol xviii.
